:: GINGER & SHILOH ::

These are our friends, our kids, and a huge part of our family! When our late golden retriever passed away 3 and 1/2 years ago, we could barely stand not having a dog in our home... thus entered Ginger! It was love at first site, and I picked her out at 12 days old! She came home at 8 weeks of age, and wormed her way into our hearts despite all the chewing damage to everything she could sink her teeth into! Ginger is a natural athlete, and she loves swimming and retrieving tennis balls thrown out in rivers or lakes! At 2 years old, it was apparent that she was a highly social animal, and was depressed if she didn't have other dogs around her. So next came Shiloh, a one year old standard rough collie! The two are now inseperable and entertain each other! Shiloh is quite the clown! We showed Shiloh in one AKC Dog Show where he took 1st in his breed, but recently we decided to neuter him and breed Ginger.

We have two photo galleries of our furbabies which you can see at these links:

:: PUFFIN ::

Puffin is our 9 year old male kitty... half Siamese and half long-haired tabby. We jokingly call him our "Safeway Select" kitty, as that's where we picked him up... right in front of Safeway. A man was trying to get rid of the kittens, and they were too young to leave their mother. Fortunately, our late golden retriever, Rosie, had just had puppies and we'd given the last of them away. Puffin happily nursed on Rosie and took to soft food rather quickly. Rosie became Puffin's mother in every sense and loved her dearly. They'd sleep together, and Puff would give her headbutts! When Rosie passed, Puffin watched us bury her and was grieving for awhile. He bonded more with us, but can't stand our 2 new dogs... too rambunctious for him! Puff's also an incredible mouser and has eradicated all rodent activity from all my garden beds... not a gopher or mole hole to be found!
