Note that some of these could be from the 40s (and probably are).  I don't have any real way of knowing exactly WHEN these were taken, but the 50's seemed to be the heyday of my grandmother's photography.  And why not! Her kids were growing up!
I haven't really set out to put these any any particular order, either...that would be a nightmare since I don't know dates.  As usual, if you can help me with people, places, or times here, feel free to email me.  Enjoy!

My Father, Charles Carawan.  This is a newspaper publicity photo from a Tideland EMC contest of some sort that Dad said he was the only one chosen from the state of North Carolina to participate in. Loris Warren Waters (12 Feb 1927-3 Apr 1993) and his wife Nadine, c. 1955.  Loris was the son of David Warren Waters and Lydia Mable Cutler.  The Buick pictured belongs to Viola "Odie" Waters, David's sister.
