Nellie and a woman my father has identified as one Helen Shavender on a bridge. I think this is the bridge over the Pungo River, what is now known as NC 99, with Belhaven in the background. Picture c. 1955 Nellie standing on Wilkenson Station Road, before it was paved. That is Luke's first store in the background.
