BITUARY OF MRS GEO. MURRAY Alice V. Johnston was born in Ohio, Jan. 27, 1865, and died at her home in Mt. Zion Nov. 2, 1916, aged 51 years, ten months and six days. She came to Iowa with her parents when about two years old. She was one of a family of 13 children of whom three brothers and three sisters and her father remain to mourn her departure, the other six, with her mother, having preceded her to their reward. She was married to Geo. Murray, Sept. 2, 1884. To this union were born 12 children, one dying in infancy. These children, with her husband, survive to mourn the loss of a loving mother and wife. Four of the eleven [sic] children are married, namely, Mrs. Nellie Thomas of Pittsburg, Mrs. Erma Roush of Batavia, Iowa, James Murray of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Mrs. Lina Whitney of Keosauqua. The others are Earl, Lee, Floyd, Forest, Ora, and Stanley. Death came after a long illness and though a great sufferer, she bore it all patiently until the last.
