The Keosauqua - Van Buren Register Thursday, April 16, 1959 Page 6 Col. 3 Floyd Murray, 55, of Anamosa died there 8 p.m. Friday after suffering a heart attack. He had been a residence of Anamosa for the last three years. The body was at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home where services were held Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. John A. Nye, pastor of the Methodist church officiated. Burial was in the Pittsburg Cemetery. Murray was born in Van Buren County July 16, 1903, the son of George and Alice Johnson Murray. On Jan. 14, 1938, he married Christine Giberson of Stockport who survives. hey on a farm in Jefferson County. Survivors include a son, Geo. Murray who is in the Coast Guard at Groton, Conn., and a stepson and two step-daughters, Jack Giberson, who is stationed in the Air Force at Iceland; Mrs. Ruth Remick, Gladstone, Ill., and Mrs. Janet Keefer, Park Forest, Ill. Also surviving are six step-grandchildren and three brothers and three sisters, Lee Murray, Mt. Pleasant; James, Wisconsin; Stanely, Ohio; Mrs. Lina Schweinker, Kohaoka, Mo.; Mrs. Erma Roush, Kansas City, Mo and Edith a resident of Ohio.
