Annual Membership

Annual dues to bowl league in the Greater Tyler USBC Bowling Association is $15.00 total ($10 National, $0 State and $5 Local). Seniors league only membership is $11.00 total ($10 National, $0 State and $1 local).

Association Operations Manual

As stated in the Local Association Services FAQ file from the USBC:

Q: Who approves the association operations manual and who can see it?

A: The operations manual is for board use only and must be approved by a majority of the board members. It should be reviewed annually for any additions or corrections.

A member can request to view a particular section of the manual and only that section needs to be made available.

To make a request, send an email to us stating the request so that the particular section requested, may be emailed to you.

Association Officers and Board Members can acquire additional copies of the Association Operations Manual by sending an email to Rule Smith.

Nomination Form. People seeking a term on the Greater Tyler USBC Board of Directors can download a nomination form here. Nomination forms for the Greater Tyler USBC Board were due March 17th, 2012. Annual elections regularly occur at the Annual Meeting within a few weeks after the City Tournaments.

Annual Meeting

2013-2014 Annual Meeting. The annual meeting will be held March 22nd, 2014 at 10:30am in the 11th Frame Club at Green Acres Bowl.

2012-2013 Annual Meeting. The annual meeting was held March 23rd, 2013 at 10am in the 11th Frame Club at Green Acres Bowl.

Recognition was given to our 2013 inductees into the Tyler USBC Hall of Fame, The award was given posthumously to Willie Gregory of Gregory's Phillips 66 (Award of Appreciation). James Gregory accepted the award on behalf of his father. David Eastham was also honored with induction into the Tyler Hall of Fame and received recognition (Grandfather Member). Brad Hall was honored as our association's Director of the Year. Plaques and pay-outs were handed out to those who placed in the Open and Womens' City Tournaments.

Honey Brown (Director) did not run for a new term. Thanks for the many years of service you have given to our association!

Up for election was the position of 2nd Vice President and three director positions. Cindy Harrington retained her position as 2nd Vice President, Cindy Gresset was re-elected as Director and 2 new Directors were elected to 3 year terms; Stephen Jenkins and John Phinny.

2011-2012 Annual Meeting. The annual meeting was held March 24th, 2012 at 2pm in the 11th Frame Club at Green Acres Bowl.

Recognition was given to our 2012 inductees into the Tyler USBC Hall of Fame, Steve Brown and Fran Bessire. Plaques and pay-outs were handed out to those who placed in the Open and Womens' City Tournaments.

Up for election was the position of President and six director positions (in total). President and three-3 year director terms were to be filled due to term expiration and the election was used to fill three-2 year director terms due to prior vacancies.

Steve Brown (President) and Randy Alford (Association Manager & Director) did not run for new terms. Thanks for the many years of service you both have given to our Association!

Terry Nick was elected to become the next President of the Association by majority vote for a 3 year term, replacing the exiting Steve Brown.

During the initial vote for director, Rule Smith was re-elected as director for a 3 year term and Kenneth Counts was elected director for a 3 year term. Both receiving majority votes.

Numerous re-votes were held to fill the remaining four spots (one-3 year term, and three-2 year terms). After receiving a majority vote, Joy Willadsen was elected director for the remaining 3 year term. At the end of voting, only three of the six spots were filled by majority vote (Rule Smith, Kenneth Counts and Joy Willadsen).

Because there were no other candidates on the ballot that received a majority vote during the election, three spots remain to be filled. According to Tyler USBC bylaws, nominations must receive a majority vote of those present in order to be elected.

2010-2011 Annual Meeting. The annual meeting was held March 19th, 2011 at Green Acres Bowl in the 11th Frame Club. Recognition was given to our 2011 inductee, Dorothy Johnson, to the Tyler USBC Hall of Fame.

2009-2010 Annual Meeting. The annual meeting occured on the 20th of February, 2010 with a higher turn-out than the previous year. Thanks to all who attended!! Plaques, trophies and pay-outs were handed out to those who placed in this year's Open and Womens' City Tournaments.

Cindy Harrington retained her place as 2nd Vice-President. Cindy Gressett and Honey Brown also retained their places on the Board of Directors. Christopher Pringle became the newest addition to the Board of Directors.

2008-2009 Annual Meeting. The proposed merger was passed to combine the TylerUSBC BA, TylerUSBC WBA, and the TylerUSBC YABA. The new Association will be called the Greater Tyler USBC Bowling Association. Recognition was given to our 2009 Inductees to the Tyler USBC BA Hall of Fame: Randy Alford (Individual Achievement), Fred Wernette (Grandfather Member), and Dick McDonough (Meritorious Service). Brad Isbell was honored as our Association's Director of the Year.

On May 2nd, 2009, the meeting for election of directors was conducted. The new bylaws were adopted for a 15 member board for the new Greater Tyler USBC Association effective August 1st, 2009. Officers will be President, 1st Vice-President and 2nd Vice-President; 3 Directors representing the Youth; 9 Directors representing the men and women of our Association. 15 total. We appreciate all who participated! And a special thanks to Dave Eastham, Anna Parker, Billy Bain and Connie Troxell for their conduction of the election and service on the nomination committee.

TYLER CITY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT:

The winners were from the Thursday Night Mixed league, Team Bull's Eye, Christi Volk, Justin Volk, David Addington and Gary Milner with a 2865.

Runner up was from the Bud Light Wednesday Night Open League, Team Southeastern Freight, Denny White, Brad Hall, Gary Milner and Andy Patterson with a 2855.
