Spring Steam and Gas Engine Show

There are four photographs on this page so it may take a minute for the page to load.

Steam and Gas Club
A group of collectors gathers at the museum to show off their preserved engines. Many engines are left running throughout the day. The uneven sound they make while running is fascinating to young and old alike.

Carlisle & Finch Engine

This is a beautifully restored engine which the owner was glad to fire up. Notice the fine woodwork supporting the engine.

Hit and Miss Engine

A group of on-lookers watch the Farm Museum's hit-and-miss engine. The fly wheel is blurry in this picture as it spins. The engine is connected to a nearby machine with a belt where corn meal is ground. The person wearing a red shirt is farm museum employee "Jimbo" who is keeping a watchful eye on the artifact. A common delight is to see how high a coffee can placed on the exhaust will shoot into the air when the engine first fires.

Steam Engine and Saw Mill Operations

During the show, the museum displays their wonderful collection of vintage tractors.
