Publishing to the Correct Online Folder
UPDATES:
If a copy of the local folder you are planning to upload already exists online, then you will want to upload to that folder. So, with Trellix, you will double click on your tl~ folder in the WINDOWS TEMP directory and it will expand and show you the files inside. Then you double click on the folder online that has the same files inside and expand it to show the same files inside of it. (The folder will not be named the same as the one in the WINDOWS TEMP directory but should have a name that is recognizable to you. You should know it from the URL you have been viewing it with in the past.)
Because you are doing an update, the files inside the tl~ folder on the Local side will be almost, but not exactly the same as the files inside the whateverthenameis folder on the Remote side. If they were identical you would have no reason to be uploading. At the very least, some of the files will have slightly different sizes listed. You may also have some files present or missing on the Local side due to perhaps your renaming, deleting or adding pages.
Once you have found the appropriate folder on the Remote side (It should have a recognizable name but you can always expand them to see what files they contain.) you will be in business. Simply expand the differently named but same folders on both the Local and Remote side, making sure that they both have the focus (you can tell by the path in the address bar at the top of each side). Then, use the method described in the procedure to highlight all of the files on the Local side and then click on the arrow in the middle that points right (towards the Remote side).

Be sure to read the section of the instructions that details this procedure as it will also answer questions to a few situations you might encounter after you have clicked on the arrow.

FIRST TIME PUBLISHES:

If no copy of the Local folder you are publishing already exists online then you simply need to publish the folder as a whole to the appropriate level of your Remote side. You can publish the folder to your main Screen Name directory or you can publish it to a Folder that already exists under (in) your Screen Name directory.  Keep in mind that publishing under existing folders will add that folder's name to the path in your URL. So, if you want the shortest URL possible, publish it directly in your Screen Name directory (main folder).

To publish directly under your Screen Name folder, make sure all you see in the address bar of the Remote side is the /yourscreenname and then single click on the unexpanded folder on the Local side and click the arrow pointing right, in the middle.

To publish to a subdirectory (subfolder) under a different folder that already exists under your Screen Name main folder (directory), make sure that folder has focus on the Remote side. It should be highlighted and will also be in the path in the address bar at the top of the Remote side window as in /yourscreenname/thefolderyouarepublishingto.

Don't worry about messing things up, BTW. All you have to do is publish again to fix it. After you know you understand what is supposed to be there and what is not, you can always delete the extra folder located in the wrong spot online. (To delete a folder, expand it and delete the files first, then you can delete the folder.)

If you mess the whole thing up, you can even delete it all and just upload the right Local folder again. (Don't worry, you won't be able to delete system files that the Server adds to make things work.)

The main thing to understand is that the path in your URL is a description of what folders you have your web site files in.  So, if you put your web site files in a folder within a folder, each folder will need to be listed in the path (URL) as in :
http://ourworld.cs.com/screenname/folder/subfolder/websitefolder/file.htm

So, you can see that the URL can get extremely long depending on how you arrange your online folders under (in) your Screen Name directory (main folder).

If I have missed a detail or left something unclear, please let me know and I will update the procedure for future help seekers.
