![]() In 1979, Margaret A. Brown began a Saturday program at B.T. Washington High School to teach teen-aged parents to be better mothers and fathers. Today, "Teen-Age Parents Stay In School" provides students with individualized academic instruction based on the classes they are currently receiveing at their home school as well as programs designed to help them with the changes and challenges they will face as teen-aged parents. In addition, students and their parents have the opportunity to seek assistance from a variety of resources that Ms. Brown continues to secure for these students she holds so dear to her heart, including the benefits provided by the Center for Academic and Behavioral Assistance. The faculty and staff of the Academic Recovery and Career Discovery Center look forward to helping our community and the lives of the next generation of our community through this program that Ms. Brown started over thirty years ago. ![]() |
